When families are actively involved in their children's education, children usually enjoy school and achieve better results. The Parent Information page on the Australian Curriculum website provides information for families and carers about their children and the Australian Curriculum. You can access 'The Australian Curriculum: an overview for parents' to learn about how the Australian Curriculum is organised, including information about the learning areas, general capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities. There is also information about how schools can use the Australian Curriculum to support students' needs and interests, and links to further information.
We use the Australian Curriculum to develop our units of teaching and learning here at Browns Plains State School. Our year level overviews provide you with a snapshot of the learning occurring in our classrooms this year. If you have any further questions, please talk with your child's class teacher or our Head of Department – Curriculum.
Learning at home
From time to time, we may be put in lockdown due to COVID-19 State Government restrictions. If this occurs our Learning at Home resources are published here for your easy access. We also provide daily links on Facebook for additional resources that will be suitable for all ages to participate in and complete. Families with TV and internet access, may also like to view or access the following links
Your child's class teacher would be available on email for any questions during this time, however may be onsite or working from home and therefore phone calls made may display a private number or no caller ID.
