Browns Plains State School has 5 teaching blocks, 2 Prep buildings, all with interactive whiteboards, projectors or smart TVs, an administration block, a music block (including classroom music and instrumental music specialist rooms), 5 Modular classroom buildings and an Out of School Hours Care building. The school also boasts a large Preforming Arts Centre/Hall used for assemblies, sport, school musicals and indoor activities. A computer lab and a parent meeting room are located at the rear of the hall. The Library has been recently refurbished and has a STEM Hub. Our school has a number of undercover areas. We have 2 purpose built computer labs equipped with class sets of PCs.
The extensive grounds accommodate 4 adventure playgrounds, netball and basketball courts, cricket net and pitch and 2 ovals. We are in planning stages for a 'Loose Parts Play' area and our sustainable area (recycling, worm farming) is currently being developed.
We have recently signed a Joint Development Agreement with the Logan City Council and Mets Junior Rugby Union Club for a ten year use of the ovals for training and competition sports. We are delighted to partner with this community club and support our local community. The new facility opened in 2021 and includes a clubhouse with change rooms, amenities, canteen and oval lighting.
